Puttabong Tea Estate was planted in 1852, making the First and the Largest plantation in the history of Darjeeling Tea. The estate is overlooked by the mighty Kanchenjunga, kissed by cold winds and fed by the Rungeet river.
Darjeeling First Flush teas are the produce from the first harvest of the year, immediately after the spring rains, in mid-April. Darjeeling First Flush is also known as Spring Teas. This is so because the tea harvested during this period is light in appearance with a brisk flavor. It has has a light yellow cup colour, with delicate flowery flavour and aroma.
