The hills of Northeast India are dotted with Tea trees growing in the forests for centuries. From one such patch of forest in Manipur comes this wonderfully smoked blacked tea which is pungent and has a charred aroma.
The leaves exhibit smoky character and are charcoal black in appearence. The spring produce is very light and fresh, with notes of fresh citrus and floral aroma accentuating the smokiness which is inherent to the way this tea is manufactured in the homes of the tribal people manufacturing the tea.
These tea are sourced from the forests, thus are completely organic and sustainable in nature.
