Growing up in Assam and spending childhood in a home which had a tea store on the ground level. That was how early this story goes. The excitement of seeing massive new chests of tea being opened, standing close to smell the scents of fresh tea. The chests and sacks came from Upper Assam to the mountains of Darjeeling. It was indeed here that the seeds of Absolute Tea were sown.

Over the years, the chests gave way to paper sacks and the regions expanded to include Arunachal Pradesh & Sikkim. The tea went from being the classic trio of Chai, Orthodox and Green to include something more exotic like White Tea, Yellow Tea, Oolong Tea and Flavoured Blends.

The love for tea remains, I am as excited to review samples and new packages of tea, as I used to be as a child. Over every season we visit farms, estates and factories, to understand the nuances of tea manufacturing process. At our office we get samples, we brew them taking multiple sips, over multiple brews to bring the freshest & best tea from the Eastern Region of India to your cups.
